The picturesque village was pleasantly quiet. The summer tourists being long gone, we had a better sense of the timeless feel of the village than a summer visit could have offered.

Sturdy stone houses with thick slate roofs typify the architecture of Ingleton as seen with this early 19th century dwelling.
